Joe and I just got back from the troop meeting tonight. Wow, there’s a whole lot going on:
- This Saturday – merit badge extravaganza at Fire Mountain
- Next Saturday – Leave No Trace certification at Fire Mountain (we’re skipping this)
- 4/8 – Beginning of plant sale fundraiser
- 4/26 – Car wash fundraiser
- 5/8 (?) – Car wash
- 5/17-18 – Car camping
- 6/7 – Car wash, then an Eagle ceremony
- 7/6-12 – Scout camp at Fire Mountain
There’s also a high adventure trip in August, but Joe is too young for that.
You can’t say we’ll be bored…
i’m heading out tomorrow morning to attend the 1st Legislative District convention, showing up as the first alternate from our precinct for Obama. Sounds interesting, as there are a lot of firsts for me in democracy this year. This was the first caucus my wife and I participated in; this was also the first for a lot of people as an old neighbor ours, who has been involved in local Democratic politics for years, said that there all of 6 people participating in our precinct caucuses just four years ago. I may even donate to the Obama campaign, as well as other Blue Majority candidates like Darcy Burner, as well as Christine Gregoire, our governor.
Yes, I am a progressive liberal democrat. Deal.
Update 04/08/08 – I made it through the morning, but I definitely wasn’t feeling well. I ran in to David Habelwitz there, the guy who I replaced, and who is going to work for John when John leaves next week.
Got through about noon, went home and went to bed.
Heck of a way to start a new blog.
We just got out of a meeting where our boss, who has been with us for a year and a couple of months, announced he is leaving to join OSI, parent company of Spacelabs.
We’re heading out soon to drown our sorrows.
